Meta Pixel Tracking
Track visitor activity and conversions on your promotion pages with your own Facebook/Meta Pixel. When enabled, your Pixel tracking code will automatically load on all your public promotion pages.
Overview
Where Tracking Works
Your Meta Pixel tracking code will automatically load on:
/contest/...- Competition pages/promote/...- Landing pages/levelup/...- Gamification pages
Events
Events Tracked
| Event | When It Fires |
|---|---|
| PageView | Every time a visitor loads any of your promotion pages |
| Lead | When a visitor successfully signs up or logs in |
The PageView event helps you understand traffic patterns, while the Lead event tracks actual conversions (email signups and social logins). Use these events to build custom audiences and optimize your Facebook ad campaigns.
Availability
Who Can Use This
This is a paid feature. Trial users will see the Analytics Integration section in Settings but won't be able to save tracking IDs until they upgrade. Once your subscription ends, tracking scripts are automatically disabled on your promotion pages.
Step 1
Find Your Pixel ID
- Go to Meta Events Manager
- Click Data Sources
- Select your Pixel
- Copy the Pixel ID (a 15-16 digit number)
Step 2
Add Your ID in Dashboard
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Profile
- Scroll to the "Analytics Integration" section
- Enter your Facebook Pixel ID
- Click Save Changes
Step 3
Verify It's Working
- Install the Meta Pixel Helper browser extension
- Visit your promotion page
- Click the extension icon - it should show a green checkmark
- After signing up, check that a Lead event was also recorded
Validation
Format Requirements
The system validates your Pixel ID before saving:
| Field | Valid Format | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook Pixel ID | 10-20 digit number | 123456789012345 |
If you enter an invalid format, you'll see an error message and won't be able to save.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
Scripts not appearing in page source?
This is expected. The tracking scripts load after the initial HTML is rendered. Use the Meta Pixel Helper extension to verify they're loading correctly.
PageView not showing in Events Manager?
- Double-check that your Pixel ID is entered correctly
- Make sure you have an active paid subscription
- Try viewing your promotion page in an incognito window (ad blockers may interfere)
Lead event not firing?
- The Lead event only fires on successful signup/login
- Make sure you're testing on an actual promotion page, not the dashboard preview
- Check the browser console for any JavaScript errors
Pixel still working after subscription ended?
If you see tracking still active after your subscription ends, it may be cached. Wait a few minutes and try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R).
Privacy
Privacy Considerations
- You are responsible for complying with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Consider adding a cookie consent banner if required in your jurisdiction
